Disabled Parking at Regent's College
The Acland Car
Park has 2 dedicated disabled parking spaces for
Blue Badge holders. It is advisable to contact Reception in
advance if you need to use a designated parking space, to
check availability. Whilst using the Acland Car Park dedicated
spaces the Blue Badge must be clearly visible in the
windscreen of the vehicle at all times.
Blue Badge Parking

Alternatively, should you prefer to use off
campus parking, the Crown Estates have spaces for Blue Badge
holders, just opposite the main car park entrance: These spaces
permit free parking for Blue Badge holders for up to 4
hours.
If you are a full-time Blue Badge holder studying here for
more than 3 months you may wish to contact Westminster Council to
ask more about their
White Badge Scheme.
Instructions for Acland Car Park

Turn left into Acland Car Park immediately after driving
over the bridge on York Road. At the barrier, please contact
Security via the Intercom (which is the button with a picture of a
telephone handset on it). Security will answer. Advise them that
you are a Blue Badge holder and you wish to use a disabled parking
space. Security will then open the barrier for you and advise you
where to park. They will suggest that you wait in your car whilst
they arrange for someone to open the Main Acland
door (see
picture of Main Acland Door) so that you can gain entry to
the college. There is ramped access to the Acland Main
entrance.
Ramp outside Acland Main
Entrance
Drive to the bottom of the Driveway and you
will see a small square where the two spaces are clearly
marked.

Conference clients
When you are ready to leave, please use one of the College
internal telephones and dial ‘0’. This will put you through to
Reception or Security. Let them know that you are ready to leave
and they will make the necessary arrangements so that you can exit
the car park.
Dropping off near Main Reception
When a disabled person is being dropped off at the Main Entrance
to the College, Security staff are aware that if the disabled
person requires assistance into the building a car may need to
remain outside the Main Entrance for a few minutes.
Congestion charge
Blue Badge holders should be eligible for 100%
discount on the Congestion Charge. It is necessary to complete a
registration form and be issued with a discount registration
approval letter.
Swipe card access
Regent's College students who are Blue Badge holders may wish to
have their student card authorised to allow swipe card access via
Acland Main Entrance. They are therefore advised to request this in
advance, so that they can collect their authorised swipe card on
arrival. Collection arrangements will be agreed on an individual
basis.
