National Module United Nations Conference

Students from Regent’s College recently attended the National Model United Nations Conference in New York.

The conference is the culmination of yearlong preparation with meetings, research, writing and fund-raising.

The Conference began with speeches in the General Assembly Hall of the United Nations by both Secretary- General Ban Ki-moon and H.E Dr. Srgjan Kerim, President of the 62nd Session of the General Assembly. The UN leader congratulated participants on arriving as student delegates and leaving as ambassadors representing the UN by building a better understanding of the organization at a crucial time. He also encouraged delegates to continue their support as a catalyst for change.

"After finishing my High School education in South Africa I left for the US on a tennis scholarship. While I was there I completed 3 years of 4 year BA degree. After leaving the US I started work in London until I realised that I could finish my undergraduate degree and go on to complete a Masters degree at the Regent’s American College London and Webster Graduate School respectively. I graduated with a BA in Management in December 2001 and an MA in Computer Resources and Information Management in May 2003.  The London campus of Webster University is truly magnificent as it is in a beautiful part of Central London."
