Regent's College to acquire Regent's Business School

07 March 2006

Regent’s College today announces that it has reached agreement to acquire College Management Services, the independently-owned and managed company that runs Regents Business School.

The acquisition of CMS, which has been endorsed by the Charity Commission, brings the Regent's Business School, its students, staff and academic courses, within the structure of the Regent’s College charitable trust.

Regent's Business School will stay in its current premises on the Regent’s Park campus. Study arrangements for all Regent's Business School students will continue as before, run by existing staff. Accommodation arrangements for those students living on campus also continue unchanged.

Peter Douglas, chief executive of Regent’s College said:“The addition of Regent's Business School opens up exciting new opportunities and we look forward to building further on the internationally-recognised successes of Regent’s College.”

Dr Richard Gregson, Academic Director of Regent's Business School:“We have long had close ties with Regent’s College and I am delighted that we are now becoming part of the same charitable organisation. This will be good for both the students and staff at Regent's Business School.”

"While studying in Webster Graduate School I encountered several advantages. First, the classes were small (an average of 8 people per class) and thus the professors gave us their full attention. Second, the university had selected for us the best professors and among them I must mention some of them that have deeply touched my heart with their compassion."
