Postgraduate Courses

Webster Graduate School offers a range of MA, MS and MBA programmes that are delivered under the American modular method.

We have 5 terms in the year with each term lasting for 8 weeks. Students generally take 2 or 3 classes in each term, building the required credits for the degree over a period of 12 - 18 months.

Most Master of Arts and Master of Science degrees require completion of 36 credit hours (12 classes), which can be completed in just over 1 year.

Degree Composition

  • The principal parts of your MA, MS or MBA are the Core subjects. You are required to follow between 7 and 9 Core classes.
  • A selection of Electives makes a total of 12 classes.
  • The MBA consists of 9 Core classes and 3 Electives taken from the Webster Graduate School's selection of MA, MS and MBA classes.

The MBA program is designed for students with some academic background in business. If you do not have sufficient academic background in business, you will be required to complete one or more Prerequisite Courses.

MBA Emphasis

If you want to add an area of Emphasis to your MBA, you must complete 7 classes in addition to your Core subjects, which will specialise your MBA in an area such as:

  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • Human Resource Management
  • Management and Leadership
  • International Relations
  • International Business

Credit Hours

Your MA, MS or your MBA is made up of units called Credit Hours. Each course that you undertake will allow you to accumulate Credit Hours.

You must successfully complete at least 36 Credit Hours to complete an MA, MS or MBA. An MBA with emphasis will require 48 Credit Hours. Most courses or classes at Webster Graduate School carry 3 Credit Hours.

Flexibile Course Structure

There are opportunities to transfer and complete degrees at other Webster University campuses in both the USA, Europe and Asia.

The American modular degree system allows flexibility and enables you to easily adapt your studies to your personal circumstances, with the option of studying at different campuses.

"My experiences at Webster Graduate School were life affecting. The classes were small enough where every single person felt comfortable to share their thoughts and opinions on serious subjects, which in turn allowed each of us to grow comfortable with discussing issues that are serious both politically as well as culturally.  For example, with our professors we had the opportunity to witness Parliament in action, a trip to Wimbledon for tennis, an excursion to Geneva, Switzerland for a conference on human rights issues hosted by Webster, and sometimes just as simples as going to a nearby Pub for a pint and some football after class. "
