Webster University’s new president visits London
Dr Beth Stroble visits London Campus
Regent’s College was honoured this week by the
visit of Dr Beth Stroble,
Webster’s new president.
She was accompanied by Faith Maddy, VP for Alumni and
Development Programs, Dr Bob Spencer, Director General for Webster
in Europe and Dr Grant Chapman, Director of International
Programs.
Webster has nine overseas campuses and Beth chose to visit
London first demonstrating how much she values the partnership with
Regent’s College.
The party was warmly received by Professor Aldwyn
Cooper and the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of trustees and
over the two days here they met a large number of students and
staff.
Dr Stroble was especially impressed by the facilities that
Regent’s offers and the strength of the relationship. She was
really taken by the multicultural character of the College and
eagerness of the students. A lot of attention was given to the
co-development of programmes.
A courtesy call was made to the new United States Ambassador to
the Court of St James, Louis Susman, who happens to come from St
Louis where Webster’s main campus is located. This was a valuable
visit with the Ambassador and Consul General both eager to support
the institutions.

"The quality of education together with the exclusive diversity of students in Webster Graduate School was an extremely enriching experience. It is a fact that London is a major cosmopolitan city, a feature inevitably reflected in most of its universities, yet the selection of students in Webster proved to be more diverse. The tranquillity of the campus being located in the beautiful Regents Park added a distinctive essence to the whole experience."
